Friday Favorites

This has been a precious week!

One: Tonight is the annual Living Water International Gala.  We are friends with a couple on their board, and this will be our second year to go as their guests. We were blown away by the event last year. Yes it's fun to dress up for a night out, but the real thrill of this event is hear the stories from people all over the world who see their villages and towns changed because of clean water and Jesus.  It's a beautiful night of fellowship and worship.  You can watch the presentation live here tonight at 8 CST.
Last year's gala:

TWO: This little fluff ball is staying with us for a few days.  Aggie Belle just loves when cousin Layla is around.  They both slept smack dab in the middle of our bed last night.  They snuggle sweetly.  Layla adores little Man Cub and doesn't let him out of her sight for more than just a few moments.  And oh the horror if Man Cub cries for more than just a moment or two.  Layla lets us know real quick that the poor babe needs to be rescued from whatever is ailing him.  Ha.  She's also learning how to use our doggy door this visit.

Three: This sweet thing turns 10 weeks old today and will have his first non-family member babysitter tonight.  He's our most precious gift and our heart song. And we just maybe spent way to long on the couch after he nursed during his one middle-of-the-night feed just so we could soak up extra cuddles during a thunderstorm.  Bless it.

Four: It's mid-afternoon in south Texas, and this is the current temp:
It's fall in Houston!  Now, if the mosquitoes could just be sent to the deepest levels of hell, we'd be all set to truly enjoy this little gift of cool weather that the rain storm brought in last night.  :)

Five: While Man Weekend wrapped up on Tuesday, we're just now getting Man Cub back into a normal schedule.  He did so well while Jason and Jacob were here and we drug him all over the place, but routine is good too.  Still, we miss the guys, the laughter, and the desserts!  It felt like a remake of Three Men and a Baby and I loved every bit of it!
