America is 237 years old today! We're celebrating by waking up in Lusaka (Africa) and flying to London (Europe). Yeah, no fireworks for us tonight. :) It was a bit weird not even being wished a 'Happy 4th' anywhere today. It was so hard saying bye to everyone this morning. Some of the staff came in extra early just for one last hug. We hugged those toddlers so hard and managed not to cry, even when they did. Once the plane started taxing though, I turned into the blubbering nutcase with tear stained cheeks. Lovely. But we had a great flight into the UK with lots of sightseeing watching savanna turn to rainforest which then turned into Sahel which turned into the Sahara and then the Mediterranean Sea. Gorgeous! It was too cloudy over Paris to get the same city tour that we did flying out three weeks ago, but we saw it then, so that works. Tomorrow we get on a plane for Houston. So excited to see my parents, grandparents, and puppies!!!! And eat Chick-fil-A. Bless it!
